Consumer Class Action Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a passionate and experienced Consumer Class Action Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will zealously advocate for clients in complex consumer fraud, data privacy, and breach of warranty class action cases. This role offers the opportunity to be deeply involved in prosecuting high-stakes cases, with a focus on thorough legal research, strategic case planning, and litigation.

Key Duties:

• Advocate zealously for clients in complex consumer fraud, data privacy, and breach of warranty class action cases.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Draft and revise legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and memoranda.
• Participate in strategy sessions and case planning meetings with senior attorneys and the litigation team.
• Review and analyze discovery materials to identify key evidence and build a strong case.
• Write and research pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Attend hearings and represent clients in court.
• Stay updated on relevant legal precedents, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact ongoing cases.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses, including reviewing expert reports and preparing for expert depositions.
• Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to the Los Angeles office.

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Outstanding legal research skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
• Experience in mediation.
• Class action experience is a plus.
• Appellate experience is a plus.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar License in Good Standing with the California State Bar.
