Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm, located in Boston, is currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation practice group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle complex legal matters, including high-stakes coverage and reinsurance cases. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in insurance coverage issues and extensive civil litigation experience, with the opportunity to manage and work on cases independently.

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance and reinsurance litigation cases, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers' insurance policies
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery requests
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
• Independently manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective client communication
• Participate in business development and client relationship management efforts
• Collaborate with team members to provide innovative and strategic legal solutions

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
• Strong experience in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
• Extensive knowledge of civil litigation procedures, including depositions and court appearances
• Experience in managing cases independently and working with clients directly
• Proven ability to think critically and work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Superior research and analytical skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts
