Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel specializing in Executive Compensation to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a leading executive compensation partner and advise top-level clients, including Founders, CEOs, and management teams, on executive compensation matters. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in executive compensation law, with a focus on complex corporate events and sensitive situations.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients, including senior executives, founders, and management teams, on executive compensation issues
  • Focus on executive compensation matters related to transformative corporate events and sensitive business situations
  • Collaborate with a leading partner in executive compensation, assisting with high-level client cases
  • Work on a wide range of corporate matters, providing strategic and commercial legal advice
  • Engage in the development of associate talent and contribute to the firm's growth
  • Navigate complex legal and business challenges with a commercial and holistic approach

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in executive compensation law, preferably at an AM Law 50 firm
  • In-depth knowledge of executive compensation structures, including stock options, bonuses, and other incentives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic legal guidance
  • Ability to manage complex and high-stakes matters with senior executives and founders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining client relationships

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdiction(s)

Skills:

  • Expertise in executive compensation law, with a focus on corporate events and executive transitions
  • Strong corporate law knowledge and understanding of business structures and strategies
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners and clients in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills
