A law firm in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 6-8 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in complex commercial litigation, including leading multiple matters and managing day-to-day client and matter management. This role requires significant experience in researching complex legal issues, drafting legal memoranda and motions, appearing before the court, and handling discovery and depositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple commercial litigation matters, including day-to-day client and matter management.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues to provide strategic advice and guidance.
  • Draft and prepare legal memoranda, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Appear and argue cases before the court, including hearings and trials.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests and manage discovery processes.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external experts to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Manage case files and maintain detailed and organized documentation.
  • Engage in business development and client relationship management.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on complex matters.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Strong academic record with a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
  • Significant experience in researching complex legal issues and drafting legal documents.
  • Experience in appearing before the court, arguing motions, and handling depositions.
  • Proven track record of managing discovery processes and responding to discovery requests.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the state where the candidate will be practicing (Arizona).
