Job Overview:

A well-established multi-state legal recovery firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join their team remotely, supporting their Texas-based corporate office. The firm specializes in debt recovery litigation for major banks and creditors. This position offers a competitive salary with commission-based earnings, no billable hour requirements, and the flexibility to work remotely. The role requires negotiating settlements, attending hearings and trials, and providing legal expertise for a high-volume practice. Travel to court and occasional training sessions is required, with mileage and travel expenses reimbursed.

Location:

  • Carrollton, Texas

Duties:

  • Negotiate settlements and resolve pending litigation matters.
  • Conduct motion practice, review and draft pleadings and discovery.
  • Manage document execution and maintain case files for high-volume practice.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings within the assigned regional area.
  • Interact professionally with opposing counsel, staff, and courts.
  • Travel to court for hearings and trials, with travel-related expenses reimbursed.

Requirements:

  • Active and in-good-standing Texas Bar License (required).
  • 1 year of experience in civil litigation (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high caseload.
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, opposing counsel, and the courts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar License (required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in civil litigation and courtroom procedures.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
