Job Overview:
A leading law firm in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Attorney to join its expanding Business Law team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial real estate transactions, including complex development projects and corporate structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both real estate law and business law, with a focus on negotiation, contract drafting, and transaction management.

Duties:

  • Manage and support transactions involving the sale, purchase, and development of commercial properties.
  • Provide legal counsel on financing and secured transactions related to real estate.
  • Review title documents and conduct due diligence on real estate deals.
  • Advise clients on construction and permitting issues.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial leases.
  • Offer strategic guidance on corporate planning, tax issues, and structuring real estate deals.
  • Address environmental concerns tied to real estate transactions.
  • Represent and assist in the formation and management of condominium associations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless legal support for complex transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in real estate law, including commercial transactions and development projects.
  • Proven track record in negotiating, drafting, and executing commercial contracts, including leases and purchase agreements.
  • In-depth understanding of real estate financing, construction law, and permitting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of tax planning related to real estate transactions.
  • Ability to manage and oversee all aspects of large, multifaceted deals from start to finish.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a creative, practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, partners, and team members.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
