Duties:

  • Interact extensively with clients, including universities, start-ups, and companies, to safeguard their innovations.
  • Handle patent prosecution matters efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and submit patent applications to the USPTO.
  • Respond to office actions from the USPTO and other patent offices.
  • Provide expertise in technologies related to synthetic chemistry and polymer chemistry.
  • Conduct patent freedom to operate analyses.
  • Assist with patent litigation matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution.
  • USPTO registration.
  • Master's or PhD in organic chemistry.
  • Ability to understand technologies related to synthetic chemistry and polymer chemistry.
  • Experience with patent freedom to operate and patent litigation preferred.
  • Strong academic records.
  • Developed analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • Master's or PhD in organic chemistry.
  • USPTO registration.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in patent prosecution.
  • Knowledge of technologies related to synthetic chemistry and polymer chemistry.
