Job Overview
A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its business immigration team. This remote position based in New York is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in business immigration law. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing business-related immigration matters, handling non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, and providing expert legal guidance to clients. This is a full-time, dynamic role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Analyze client needs and provide strategic advice on business immigration options.
  • Maintain open and accurate communication with clients throughout the immigration process, offering support with program management and compliance.
  • Supervise and collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other staff to ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of visa petitions.
  • Manage high-volume cases and ensure they are processed efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Address client inquiries and assist in the filing process.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the legal support team’s work by establishing case strategies.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the business immigration practice.

Requirements

  • Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.
  • 4–6 years of experience in business immigration law.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in a U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of business immigration law and visa processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
