  • Provide sound legal advice to municipalities, school districts, and other public entities on property tax and collection-related issues
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, and internal legal teams
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings as needed
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and firm staff to ensure high-quality service and efficient case management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of legal experience (prior work with local governments, tax law, or municipal collections preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated interest in public sector law and community-focused legal services
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to represent clients in legal proceedings and public forums
  • Proactive, self-motivated work style with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
