A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney to join its team in Fredericksburg, VA. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys, participating in case strategy development and client communications.
  • Assist in business development efforts, helping to build and expand the firm's client base.
  • Manage cases and client relationships with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a general practice setting or related legal field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of family law, estate planning, criminal law, and civil litigation preferred, though other relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow within the firm.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
