A prestigious law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Energy/Project Finance team in New York. The role involves assisting with complex transactions, including construction financing, term loan financing, and back-leverage finances. Junior associates will draft exhibits and financial documents, gaining exposure to project documentation and related diligence for renewable energy projects.

Duties

  • Work on renewable energy project financings, including solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
  • Assist in drafting exhibits and financial/corporate documents.
  • Participate in complex transactions such as construction financing and term loan finance.
  • Handle project documents and conduct due diligence related to project construction and operation.
  • Collaborate with clients, including major players in the renewable energy space.
  • Support senior associates and partners in managing lender-side financing deals.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of general corporate or project finance experience.
  • Interest in renewable energy projects, particularly in wind, solar, and battery storage sectors.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications and Skills

  • Admitted to the New York State Bar.
  • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage transactions and work directly with clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
