A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with over 6 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in all facets of domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and management. They should be well-versed in trademark counseling, clearance searches and analysis, prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, portfolio management, handling trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations and enforcement matters. Additionally, experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements related to intellectual property and trademarks is essential. Candidates with experience managing IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee trademark prosecution efforts, advising clients on trademark matters, conducting clearance searches, and analyzing search results.
  • Develop comprehensive trademark strategies to protect and enforce clients' rights globally.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements concerning intellectual property and trademarks.
  • Handle trademark disputes and represent clients in proceedings before the TTAB and other forums.
  • Conduct IP due diligence and coordinate litigation discovery related to trademark disputes.
  • Provide legal counsel on internet and e-commerce issues impacting trademark rights.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in good standing in Massachusetts.
  • 6+ years of experience in trademark law, focusing on prosecution and enforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of trademark law and procedures, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency in trademark counseling, clearance searches, and prosecution.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and TTAB proceedings is a plus.
  • Outstanding technical, professional, and client service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong advocacy abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in good standing in Massachusetts.
