Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial consultations with potential clients, assess their needs, and secure their representation.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, alimony, and property division.
  • Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in court proceedings, including mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, agreements, and court orders.
  • Develop case strategies and negotiate settlements that best align with client interests.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and staff members, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with Colorado family law statutes and apply them effectively in case strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and compassionate support.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
  • 0-3 years of experience practicing family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases.
  • Expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong courtroom presence and experience leading cases as the 1st chair.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to clients facing emotionally challenging situations.
