Duties:

• Provide clients with expert legal advice and guidance on matters related to estate planning, special needs, Medicaid planning, and probate administration.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide informed recommendations.
• Communicate directly with clients, ensuring their needs are met and offering compassionate support.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, maintaining strong organizational systems.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters and contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Uphold a high standard of ethical practices and maintain client confidentiality.
• Participate in firm-wide meetings and contribute ideas for business development and practice improvements.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law (preferred but not required).
• Experience in legal drafting and document preparation related to estate planning and probate law.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload efficiently.
• Ability to handle client relationships professionally and with empathy.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• License to practice law in the state of Michigan.
