Employment Law Litigation Associate

Job Overview

This hybrid position will focus on commercial litigation and employment law matters, including contract disputes, employment disputes, and shareholder/derivative actions. Duties

• Lead and support state and federal cases, including arbitrations
• Handle motion practice and discovery work
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances
• Develop and execute litigation strategies, from pre-trial through trial or settlement
• Manage client communication and expectations throughout the process
• Prepare cases for success in mediation, trial, and arbitration
• Independently manage cases while collaborating with junior attorneys and staff

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership with the Texas State Bar
• 4+ years of experience in commercial and employment litigation
• Experience in conducting discoveries and developing case strategies
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software (Clio preferred), and e-discovery tools

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Texas State Bar membership
