The role involves advising employers on a range of employment matters, including wage and hour issues, medical leave, accommodations, and disciplinary actions. The attorney will collaborate with clients to provide strategic counsel and mitigate risks, with opportunities for significant client contact and professional growth.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise employers on critical employment law issues, including:
    • Medical leave and accommodations
    • Wage and hour compliance
    • Disciplinary actions and terminations
  • Draft and revise employment policies, procedures, and agreements
  • Conduct workplace investigations
  • Collaborate with clients to anticipate needs and develop risk mitigation strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years of experience counseling employers on employment law
  • Strong skills in legal research and analysis of complex employment issues
  • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Experience with public entities or charter schools (preferred but not required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar (required)
