Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney for its hybrid position in Philadelphia, PA. This role provides an opportunity to represent clients in diverse litigation matters, gain hands-on experience, and collaborate closely with experienced partners in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Duties:

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery.
• Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including:
  • Discovery requests and responses.
  • Pleadings, motions, affidavits, and legal memoranda.
  • Settlement agreements and court orders.
• Attend court proceedings, depositions, case management conferences, and hearings.
• Manage and analyze discovery materials, including preparing summaries and updates.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
• Provide clients with timely legal analysis, status updates, and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• 0–5 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in:
  • General liability.
  • Professional liability.
  • Healthcare.
  • Labor and employment law.
• Active bar membership in Pennsylvania.
• Proven experience drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions.
• Strong organizational and writing skills, with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
• Familiarity with both federal and state civil procedure rules.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Lexis legal research tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
