Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation or other relevant legal fields.
• Licensed to practice law in New York (New Jersey is also preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn database management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage complex caseloads.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
