Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients, advising them on their rights and the best course of action in their cases.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings and court appearances, offering strategic advice following each session.
• Manage trial preparations, including drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.
• Evaluate potential case outcomes, leveraging knowledge of legal precedents to build strong defense strategies.
• Effectively manage a caseload, ensuring timely progress and resolution of cases.
• Assist clients in understanding the potential benefits of their cases and strategize accordingly.
• Collect and analyze evidence to strengthen the case, as well as to challenge the prosecution's charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and coordinate the gathering of vital information from witnesses and experts to support the defense.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex cases across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and the court.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• A collaborative mindset and the willingness to work as part of a team to develop strategies and share knowledge.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar Association.
