Location: El Dorado Hills, CA (Hybrid with a preference for 3 days in-office; potential for fully remote after an initial period)

Duties:

  • Engage directly with clients, providing regular updates and guidance throughout litigation processes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft compelling briefs and motions.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Represent the firm in court by arguing motions and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist in trial preparation and act as second or third chair during trial proceedings.
  • Take and defend depositions as part of case preparation.
  • Handle a diverse range of tasks associated with managing active litigation cases.
  • Maintain a billable hour target of 1750 hours annually.

Requirements:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.
  • Exceptional writing skills, particularly in legal briefs and motions.
  • Strong legal research abilities, with an emphasis on efficiency and thoroughness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in arguing motions in court is a plus.
  • Trial and appellate experience is highly desirable, though not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar License.

Skills:
