Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in San Rafael, CA, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage a heavy litigation caseload, engage in transactional matters, and provide comprehensive legal support from initial court filings through trial. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to client service.

Duties:

• Assist with heavy litigation caseload and transactional matters
• Manage cases from initial court filing through trial
• Conduct client intake and consultations
• Maintain heavy client contact
• Appear in court for various proceedings
• Handle trials, arbitrations, and mediations
• Perform legal research and writing
• Draft pleadings and manage law and motion activities
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Conduct depositions
• Communicate with opposing counsel, experts, and judicial officers
• Utilize legal software, including Clio, Box, Slack, Lawyaw, LexisNexis, CEB, Trellis, and Zoom

Requirements:

• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
• 2-5 years of litigation experience
• Strong organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar membership

• Proficiency in legal research and writing
• Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively
