Job Overview:
A national law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Public Finance practice group in Newark, New Jersey. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions that address pressing societal needs, including healthcare, education, affordable housing, and more. The firm represents a variety of clients, including governmental units, public agencies, investment banks, and nonprofit organizations. The Associate will work closely with clients and senior partners in a collaborative environment that values excellence, integrity, and client service.

Duties:

  • Work on complex, innovative financial transactions and products used by local governments or nonprofit corporations
  • Provide legal support in healthcare, education, and cultural institution practice areas
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on transactional matters
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements
  • Manage client relationships and provide legal guidance
  • Support senior partners in the execution of public finance projects

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in transactional law, healthcare law, or public finance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • New Jersey or New York bar admission (or pending bar admission)
  • Motivated self-starter with a commitment to excellence and ethics

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership (or pending admission) to the New Jersey or New York State Bar
