Job Overview:
A national civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in Michigan No-Fault insurance defense and Special Investigative Unit (SIU) matters. This position is based in Livonia, MI, with remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who can handle insurance defense, personal injury protection (No-Fault), and SIU cases, and will demonstrate strong academic, communication, and organizational skills.

Duties:

  • Handle insurance defense, personal injury protection (No-Fault), and SIU matters.
  • Conduct factual investigations and legal research.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, case evaluation summaries, and written discovery.
  • Conduct examinations under oath and depositions.
  • Provide trial support and argue legal pleadings as necessary.
  • Independently manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Build and foster client relationships and accept constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of legal work and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Michigan No-Fault insurance defense/SIU matters.
  • Membership in the Michigan State Bar.
  • Ability to independently manage caseloads and work under pressure.
  • Strong academic background with exceptional oral, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with clients and foster relationships.
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Michigan (Michigan State Bar membership required).

Skills:
