Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. This role provides a great opportunity for growth within the firm and the chance to gain valuable experience working alongside a team of skilled legal professionals. The attorney will be responsible for managing cases, interacting with clients, and collaborating with the immigration team to provide strategic legal advice and representation.

Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration law concepts and offer strategic legal solutions.
• Represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings in Immigration Court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a personal caseload of diverse immigration cases.
• Conduct client intake and interviews at detention centers.
• Prepare and review various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
• Consult with potential clients to develop case strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings or USCIS testimony.
• Submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in immigration law through prior internships, volunteer work, or law school clinics.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting Bar admission will also be considered).
• Ability to manage a caseload and advance cases efficiently.
• Willingness to collaborate and strategize with fellow associates and legal teams.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication and client management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in any state. Recent graduates awaiting Bar results may be considered.
