Junior To Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney to join their Palo Alto, CA team. This role involves working on internationally recognized matters, mainly focusing on novel financing deals in the energy transition space.

Job Overview:

The Finance Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling transactions in energy transition finance, including financing and M&A of projects and companies. The role emphasizes tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters. It requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Job Duties:

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, and third parties.
• Produce accurate and timely work products, including legal documents and correspondence.
• Meet deadlines and expectations while adhering to firm policies and practices.
• Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external parties.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work and virtual meetings.
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• 3 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
• Experience handling transactions in financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
• Proven expertise in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Attention to detail and good business judgment.
