Telecommunications Lawyer

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Attorney with six or more years of relevant experience to join its Telecommunications and Media practice group. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in regulatory matters involving telecommunications, media, and FCC-related issues, including familiarity with FCC and state regulatory proceedings. Strong analytical, writing, and regulatory skills are essential. Experience with FCC enforcement, transactional matters, and national security or surveillance issues is a plus. A law firm background with outstanding academic credentials is required.

Location:

• Washington, DC

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on telecommunications and media regulatory matters
• Represent clients in FCC and state regulatory proceedings
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex telecommunications regulations
• Draft and review legal documents, including filings with regulatory agencies
• Advise clients on FCC enforcement and transactional matters
• Stay informed on national security and surveillance issues related to telecommunications
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop and implement legal strategies

Requirements:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, media, and FCC matters
• Strong background in regulatory proceedings, specifically with the FCC and state regulations
• Experience with FCC enforcement or transactional matters is preferred
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Interest in national security or surveillance issues is a plus
• Outstanding academic credentials and law firm experience required
• Must be admitted to the DC Bar

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the DC Bar (or ability to obtain admission)
