Location:

Duties:

  • Review and analyze denial decisions, developing strategies for appeals
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate legal strategies and manage cases
  • Prepare and oversee various case filings, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Conduct attorney-level review and edits of submissions to USCIS
  • Perform in-depth legal research to address unique challenges in immigration cases
  • Draft and prepare briefs for RFEs, motions to reconsider or reopen, and appeals
  • Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes in immigration law
  • Provide solutions to complex legal issues and mentor team members in a collaborative environment
  • Additional responsibilities as required to support the firm's mission

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar license in good standing in any U.S. state
  • 2-5 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in family and humanitarian-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, crimmigration, and appellate proceedings
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying schedules and work flexibly
  • Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills in both writing and speaking
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state

Skills:

  • Expertise in immigration law, especially appellate proceedings
  • Strong legal research, writing, and case management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff
