Partner needed for South Jordan office

A law firm in South Jordan, UT is seeking an experienced Partner with a portable book of business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auto and/or general liability practice, a commitment to providing exceptional client service, and a demonstrated history of excellence in civil litigation and insurance defense.

Duties:

• Manage and grow a portable book of business.
• Represent clients in civil litigation and insurance defense cases.
• Conduct motion practice, discovery, and take/defend depositions.
• Prepare for and appear in court, including trial preparation.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with other partners and associates to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm's growth and success.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Utah.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Proven track record with motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• A portable book of business of any size.
• Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials.
• Strong client service skills and ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
• Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Utah.

Skills:

• Proficiency in civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
