Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on immigration law matters, developing and presenting strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), both for detained and non-detained individuals.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring efficient handling and timely progress of all assigned matters.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained clients at immigration centers and prepare corresponding documentation.
• Prepare and file a range of immigration applications, including removal defense cases, family-based immigration petitions, and naturalization applications.
• Review and adjust immigration applications and petitions as needed to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration-related matters.
• Meet with potential clients to provide strategic consultations and determine appropriate immigration strategies.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews.
• Provide legal analysis to identify case benefits and potential legal pathways for clients.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in immigration law is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to teamwork.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with case management software is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience handling family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR matters, detained cases, and USCIS applications.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
