A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plaintiffs' Associate Attorney specializing in Personal Injury (PI) cases. The successful candidate will work directly with the Named Partner and other attorneys on pre-litigation and litigation matters. This role requires a strong background in handling depositions and mediations, drafting pleadings, negotiating, and preparing for trial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Named Partner and other attorneys to manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough case investigations and gather relevant evidence.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Handle depositions, mediations, and other pre-litigation processes.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, preferably in a plaintiffs' capacity.
  • Proven track record of handling complex PI cases through pre-litigation and litigation stages.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management.
