Associate Defense Attorney Asbestos

A law firm seeks a qualified Associate Attorney to join its Asbestos defense team in California. Duties:

• Represent clients in asbestos, toxic tort, and/or product liability cases.
• Handle written discovery, motions, depositions, and court hearings.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution.
• Prepare and argue motions in court.
• Perform in-person appearances as needed for client matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members for case strategy and development.
• Take ownership of assigned caseload while receiving guidance and mentorship from more experienced attorneys.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California.
• Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, particularly in handling asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability cases.
• Experience in written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload.
• A proactive approach to legal research and case preparation.

Education:

• J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
