A law firm seeks a seasoned attorney to support its California-based practice in Newport Beach, CA. This role is dedicated to delivering expert legal services in areas such as mortgage foreclosure, collections, creditors' rights, and related fields. Duties

  • Represent clients in legal matters involving mortgage foreclosure, collections, and creditors' rights.
  • Manage a high caseload, ensuring thorough preparation and representation in state and federal court appearances.
  • Oversee discovery processes, including resolving disputes, conducting depositions, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide appellate advocacy and counsel on regulatory matters, including TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted legal advisor.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to enhance the firm's reputation in the legal community.
  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at promoting client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Licensure (or ability to secure licensure promptly) in California federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • At least 8 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure, collections, and related litigation.
  • Proficiency with California’s legal system and court procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conflict resolution, discovery, and appellate advocacy.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar License (required).
  • Additional State Bar licenses are advantageous but not mandatory.
