Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney or lateral Partner to join its Health Care Group, with a focus on long-term care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health care law, courtroom experience, and excellent writing skills. This role requires a high degree of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel within the health care group, focusing on long-term care
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution, including gathering and organizing facts and evidence
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and develop case strategies for healthcare-related matters
  • Represent clients in court, including preparing for and participating in hearings and trials
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive case management and client service
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of casework

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care or related healthcare law
  • Strong academic credentials and proven courtroom experience
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client representation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in Kentucky

Skills:

  • Expertise in health care and long-term care law
