Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in civil litigation to join its dynamic team remotely. Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel, services, and representation to clients in various legal matters.
  • Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, as well as agency litigation, based on experience level.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant substantive law, court systems, and local court rules and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and opposing counsel both orally and in writing.
  • Handle legal work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions, responding to client, office, and court needs as required.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop innovative solutions for complex legal issues.
  • Some travel may be necessary, including for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff-side consumer and employment law.
  • Proven ability to manage legal matters independently or under supervision.
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and work in high-pressure situations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the appropriate state courts (jurisdiction will depend on firm location and client needs).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
