Job Overview:
A law firm in Birmingham, AL  is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its team. This attorney will focus on advocating for clients who have been wrongfully injured, ensuring they receive maximum recovery for the harm and injustice they have endured. The firm provides a collaborative and supportive environment, with a culture of mentorship and teamwork. Attorneys will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced investigators and case managers to drive successful outcomes for clients.

Location:

  • Birmingham, AL

Duties:

  • Conduct intake meetings with clients, building trust and documenting essential case facts
  • Lead investigations, assess insurance coverage, and gather evidence for trial preparation
  • Negotiate with adjusters and prepare cases for trial, evaluating the Full Settlement Value
  • File suit when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and discovery for lawsuits
  • Strategize trial preparations, mediation, or arbitration with a focus on maximizing recovery
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient case movement through the process
  • Review and sign correspondence drafted by team members in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Experience specifically focused on client advocacy and case management
  • Ability to conduct investigations and build strong cases for trial
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to achieve high client satisfaction and favorable case outcomes

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)

Skills:

  • Strong investigative and case-building skills
  • Effective communication and client relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in trial preparation and litigation strategy
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
