A law firm in San Francisco is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Tax - Executive Compensation, Employment, and Benefits Associate Attorney. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel on executive compensation, employment, and benefits matters. The role demands a keen understanding of tax implications, regulatory compliance, and a proactive approach to addressing legal challenges.

 

Duties:

  • Research, analyze, and provide legal advice on executive compensation, employment, and benefits issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including employment contracts, executive compensation agreements, and benefit plan documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment and benefits laws to provide up-to-date and accurate legal counsel.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, meetings, and legal proceedings related to executive compensation and benefits matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits and compensation, preferably in a law firm setting.

 

 

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is required; a focus on Tax Law is advantageous.

 

Certifications:

State Bar admission.

 

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of tax implications related to executive compensation and benefits.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
