Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
  • Take and defend depositions to gather evidence and witness testimonies.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Lead mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
  • Develop comprehensive case strategies to guide litigation and trial processes.
  • Represent clients in court, taking cases to trial when necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and responding to motions.
  • Substantial knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Rules of Evidence.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Ohio and good standing with the Ohio State Bar.
