Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Arcadia, CA is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in civil law. The candidate will be responsible for handling all stages of litigation, including case analysis, document drafting, discovery, motions, and trial or contested hearings.

Job Duties:

• Conduct case analysis and development, including legal research and preparation of legal strategies.
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely filings of pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and respond to discovery requests, including depositions, interrogatories, and requests for production of documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and contested hearings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as required.
• Maintain case files and ensure all documents are organized and accessible.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil law, with significant litigation experience.
• Trial or contested hearing experience in civil matters is essential.
• Strong analytical and legal research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
