This role will involve working within the Commercial Real Estate and Corporate departments, providing clients with specialized legal counsel and representation. Duties

  • Provide legal assistance for commercial clients on matters such as real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, entity formations, contract drafting, and bank lending.

  • Ensure compliance with the ethical requirements outlined by the state's Rules of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality in all client matters.
  • Monitor client accounts and manage receivables related to legal services.

  • Draft, organize, and manage legal correspondence and documents.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Maine and current membership in the State Bar.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills for anticipating challenges and formulating solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in real estate and corporate law is preferred.
