Job Overview
An established multi-state real estate and creditors' rights law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Arkansas practice. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections, with the ability to handle a significant caseload in creditors' rights. This role requires strong litigation, discovery, and conflict resolution skills, as well as experience with appellate work and federal court processes. Court appearances and potential travel are required.

Duties

  • Manage a high volume of cases in mortgage foreclosure and collections

  • Represent clients in court hearings and litigation matters

  • Resolve discovery issues and conduct depositions

  • Handle conflict resolution in complex legal matters

  • Contribute to appellate work and apply knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code

  • Proactively develop relationships within the industry to enhance the firm's reputation

  • Support the firm's growth and presence as a top-performing legal practice

  • Travel as necessary for court appearances and client meetings

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Arkansas State Bar

  • Licensed or able to obtain a license in the Arkansas federal district and bankruptcy courts

  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections

  • Ability to manage a significant caseload within creditors' rights

  • Familiarity with discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution

  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred

  • Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings

  • Familiarity with the Arkansas state legal system

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar License in the state of Arkansas (Required)

  • Multiple state bar licenses are a plus
