Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation, preferably with product liability and complex commercial litigation, and will work closely with clients, associates, and experts to develop case strategies and produce high-quality legal work.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties verbally and in writing.
• Supervise junior associates and guide on legal matters.
• Collaborate with experts and assist in developing factual records and depositions.
• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Develop and implement case strategies to support clients' interests.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality work product.
• Meet deadlines and adhere to firm expectations and work duties.
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as extended computer use and virtual and in-person meetings.
• Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Experience with clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Attention to detail and sound business judgment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think conceptually and influence others.
• Persuasive communication and practical management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Additional MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degrees are preferred.
• Admission to practice law in Texas.
