The ideal candidate will have exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation, with a strong background in written and electronic discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. The attorney will handle a diverse caseload from inception through trial or resolution, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional client service and an interest in business development.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury and property damage litigation caseload from inception through trial or settlement.
  • Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal court.
  • Draft, interpret, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Handle discovery matters, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, interact with clients, and attend court hearings and trials.
  • Investigate facts related to cases to support litigation strategy.
  • Develop and implement case strategies and prepare for trial.
  • Participate in business development efforts to grow the firm’s client base.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in plaintiff litigation, with a focus on personal injury and property damage cases.
  • Proven experience with written and electronic discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Strong commitment to client service and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and handle complex litigation matters.
  • Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in handling discovery matters and preparing legal documents.

Education:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in the State of Florida in accordance with the Florida Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills for case-related investigations and legal research.
  • Experience with trial preparation and participation, including drafting motions and responses.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and handle complex legal issues.
