The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting plans for moderate and high-net-worth clients, managing probate and trust administrations, and meeting or exceeding minimum billable hours requirements. Superior analytical, communication, and drafting skills are essential, along with a Juris Doctorate and active membership in the California State Bar.

Duties:

  • Design and draft plans for moderate and high-net-worth clients
  • Manage probate administrations
  • Manage trust administrations
  • Plan for blended families, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, fiduciary income tax issues, and preparation of estate tax returns and gift tax returns

Requirements:

  • 5 years of recent experience designing plans for moderate and high-net-worth clients, probate, and trust administration
  • Superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, and research skills
  • Juris Doctorate
  • An active member of the California State Bar
  • Expertise in Federal tax law and California state tax law is strongly preferred
  • LL.M. in Tax preferred
  • Prior experience taking the lead role in client meetings
  • Prior experience managing client communications and expectations
  • Proficiency in the California probate and trust administration process
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, document management, and legal practice management systems
  • Ability to effectively work with support staff
  • Client management skills from intake through resolution
  • Positive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivated
  • Solid command of English, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to set goals and mentor others
