Associate Attorney needed for Chicago office

A law firm specializing in personal injury plaintiff representation in Chicago, IL, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of case management and litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research on various issues relevant to personal injury cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Manage and prioritize workload effectively under deadlines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar (or eligible for admission without examination).
• 0-3 years of experience in personal injury law preferred; candidates with relevant internships or clerkships will also be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with case management software.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Prior courtroom experience, including conducting trials.
