A law firm seeks a compassionate and driven Family Law Attorney to join its team in Lewisville, TX. This role focuses on guiding clients through complex family law matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, terminations, enforcements, and protective orders. The ideal candidate is dedicated to supporting clients through challenging personal situations and empowering them to move forward with confidence. This is a hybrid position with remote work flexibility.

Duties:

  • Provide clients with expert legal representation in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, adoption, termination, and enforcement matters
  • Prepare, file, and argue motions, orders, and other legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations to protect their rights and interests
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to each client’s needs
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates and address questions and concerns
  • Collaborate with legal staff to ensure efficient case management and preparation
  • Support and guide clients through difficult emotional and legal processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience practicing family law
  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar
  • Strong background in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
  • Ability to empathize with clients and provide compassionate legal counsel

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective advocacy and client interaction
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in managing multiple cases and meeting deadlines
