Job Overview:

Duties:

• Drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to electrical engineering and software technologies
• Managing a full range of patent prosecution and litigation matters
• Collaborating with attorneys and clients to develop effective strategies for patent portfolios
• Providing strategic advice on IP matters, including patentability, infringement, and validity
• Engaging in intellectual property litigation, including preparation of legal documents and motions
• Representing clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Conducting technical research in areas such as networking, wireless technologies, and software
• Maintaining organized and accurate documentation related to client matters

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2-6 years of legal experience in IP law, specifically patent prosecution and litigation
• Admission to the USPTO is required
• Expertise in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field
• Previous design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO

Skills:

• Expertise in patent prosecution and litigation
• Knowledge of networking technologies (3G/4G/5G wireless networks)
• Proficiency in preparing patent applications and handling legal procedures before the USPTO
