Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have trial experience, including handling depositions, complex motion practice, and hearings. This role requires a detail-oriented attorney with a passion for personal injury law, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to effectively represent clients inside and outside the courtroom.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, from inception to resolution, including settlement, trial, or appeal.
  • Prepare for and conduct trials and hearings, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and courtroom presentation.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, experts, and other relevant parties to build and strengthen cases.
  • Draft, file, and argue complex motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and other substantive filings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations regarding case progress and potential outcomes.
  • Conduct legal research and draft well-reasoned briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents to support litigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure effective case management and uphold quality client service standards.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and an active Texas bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of personal injury litigation experience, with substantial involvement in trials, hearings, depositions, and motion practice.
  • Proven trial experience, with the ability to independently prepare cases for trial and conduct courtroom proceedings.
  • Strong drafting skills for complex motions and legal briefs, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professional practices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas bar license in good standing (required).

Skills:
