Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a dedicated Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to assist in all aspects of commercial litigation and bankruptcy for sophisticated businesses and individuals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal acumen and a commitment to client advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and management of commercial litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court appearances and hearings related to litigation and bankruptcy matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal insights.
• Maintain effective communication with clients to keep them informed on case developments.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting commercial litigation and bankruptcy.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
• 2-6 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy law.
• High degree of academic and professional achievement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience representing businesses and individuals in litigation and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
