Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their team in Fort Worth. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with experienced immigration attorneys and legal assistants. Location:

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage caseload and maintain regular client interaction.
  • Conduct intake sessions with detained individuals at immigration centers.
  • Prepare and file a range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
  • Meet with potential clients to assess their needs and develop case strategies.
  • Develop strategies for court and USCIS testimony, and prepare clients and witnesses.
  • Provide legal analysis to determine the best course of action for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward efficiently.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement immigration strategies.
  • Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in immigration case management software is a plus.
