Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its growing employment law practice. This role is ideal for a candidate with over 5 years of experience in employment law counseling who is looking to contribute to a busy, dynamic team. Location:

Duties:

  • Advise and counsel employers on all aspects of employment law, including compliance with Massachusetts state and federal statutes and regulations.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies, conduct workplace investigations, and provide training on workplace policies.
  • Draft and review employee handbooks, workplace policies, and position statements.
  • Advise clients on hiring practices, terminations, and other employment-related matters.
  • Provide timely and strategic legal counsel to clients on workplace issues.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support professionals to deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment law counseling.
  • Experience advising employers on employment law matters, including workplace investigations and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts state and federal employment law statutes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex legal issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work well under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in Massachusetts (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience drafting workplace policies, handbooks, and position statements.
  • Knowledge of employment law compliance and best practices.
  • Ability to advise clients strategically on employment law issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
